Sister City Program.
The Sister City program is an outgrowth of President Eisenhower’s People to People Program. Noting the failure of international diplomacy in keeping the peace, he said that if people of the world would get to know each other on a personal basis, developing friend ship and mutual respect, much of the mistrust and lack of understanding which causes war would be greatly diminished.
